The stable door leads to a fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, fridge, freezer, ceramic hob and electric fan oven, food processor, spice rack and cookery books. The Breakfast bar looks out onto the Coniston Old Man Range with a view of the Old Man.

Dining Room

The kitchen leads to a delightful open beamed dining area with fireplace and electric feature stove. This room introduces you to 1 of the 4 original window seats in the cottage. The dining room also houses the washer/dryer, CD/DAB Radio and bookshelves with many quality titled books (fiction and non-fiction).

Lounge

The dining room leads to a colourful, cosy, comfortable lounge with a leather corner sofa, together with lots of character and original cottage features. Antique furniture, original artwork, low oak beams with original hanging hooks, stone/slate fireplace with multi-fuel/woodburning stove are set off with the contemporary bright yellow and aubergine hues. There is a selection of Lake District guides/books/maps and family games. There is a flat screen TV and DVD player. The lounge leads to the rear cottage garden through what would have been the main entrance of the original farmhouse and original front garden.

Upstairs - Master Bedroom

Stairs from the lounge lead to a landing and first floor comprising:

Master Bedroom: Delightful cottage bedroom with built-in walk-in cupboard offering plenty of storage. A travel cot and baby booster seat is available on request.
 
Bathroom: Ideal Standard white bathroom suite including toilet, wash basin and large showerbath with Mira Sport shower.
 
 
 
 

Upstairs - Twin Room

Next to the master bedroom is the twin bedroom.
 
Twin Room: A delightful, light and airy cottage bedroom with twin beds. Window seat with view over the rear garden and fields.

Outside

Entrance to Swangs is via the private lane and the small, gravelled patio garden. This would originally have been the rear garden.  It includes a teak table and chairs and bench. It overlooks the Coniston mountain range and is ideal for barbecues and watching sunsets.
 
The fully enclosed suntrap rear garden with patio, summerhouse, tables, chairs and benches is perfect for alfresco meals. It is private, enclosed and safe for children (and dogs) to play.

Swangs has electric storage heaters.
WIFI is available free of charge to guests.
Guests now have free use of Choices Health Club in Troutbeck Bridge (with spa and simming pool) - a 25 mins drive away
